The Department of Architecture and Built Environment undertakes teaching in and research into the design, planning and production of built environments. In terms of content, the department covers a wide field with its five subject areas.

The department participates in over 100 first, second and third-cycle courses, and is responsible for most of the teaching within the School of Architecture on the five-year Architecture programme and three international Master’s programmes: Architecture, Digital Architecture and Emergent Futures and Sustainable Urban Design (SUDes). The department also conducts teaching at the School of Industrial Design as well as at Campus Helsingborg and offers several freestanding courses.
